One of the items we rely on others to supply and install are hard surface countertops. While we have the expertise to supply and install hardwood(butcher block) counters and laminate counters, we leave the fabrication and installation of hard surface counter tops(Granite, Quartz, Acrylic, Soapstone, and Corian) to a selected number of reliable suppliers who work on our behalf.
Very simply, hard surface counters require large spaces and specialized tools to fabricate these very heavy objects. Over 90% of the effort required to install hard surface counters occurs outside the client’s home. Our job is to ensure everything is ready when the counters arrive and are fitted into place. Accomplishing this makes the installation work by the counter company a breeze. It is the preparatory work that makes everything look so easy.

AAn Ottawa based manufacturer of granite countertops. We like them because they have invested in their facilities and have very personable and knowledgeable staff. While not as well known as some of the other granite suppliers in Ottawa, Ottawa Granite Pro makes up for that with their passion for their products. Granite is their specialty, but they can also order quartz slabs for counters.

Uniform Custom Countertops Inc.
We really like Uniform Custom Counters for their quartz and acrylic counters. They do an excellent job fabricating and installing these counter types. We found them because of their association as the counter supplier to IKEA in Ottawa. If you are looking for material selections not offered in the IKEA showroom, we can order directly from Uniform Custom Counters who offer a wider selection of counter material choices than IKEA.

We order our custom designed and fabricated soapstone counters, sinks and floor tile from the best suppliers in North America, Vermont Soapstone Company, founded in 1856. Soapstone is for those who love and enjoy this traditional material. It has a limited colour selection from dark grey to black with white streaks. It is one of the most durable nonporous materials available and can be left to it its natural patina, or can be treated with mineral oils to bring out a warm luster. We love Vermont Soapstone; they fabricate some truly wonderful counters.
