Introducing Quality Custom Cabinetry to Ottawa
It is all in the details when you choose to have LindenCraft remodel or renovate your Ottawa Kitchen. All of our Ottawa kitchens have some type of customization, whether we do it with IKEA cabinetry or custom cabinetry from Quality Custom Cabinetry. Ever wondered what goes into the making of fine custom cabinetry? To an untrained eye, it can be hard to judge cabinet quality at first glance. Knowing how things are made can help give you understanding as to what makes a quality product. Handy for those interested in cabinets, the ‘Cool Stuff Being Made’ video channel has done a feature on the making of Quality Custom Cabinets – one of the lines that LindenCraft is proud to carry..
Dale Leaman from QCC takes us around the factory floor to show us the process of how the high end cabinets are constructed. It begins with the careful selection of wood. The wood is first checked for grain imperfections and colour tone. From here you see how the wood is sawed, glued, and the clamp press process.
The process for making the cabinet fronts and the drawers is surprisingly efficient. You can see how the dove tail joints and the decorative beading are created and the sanding tools used. Once the cabinets are assembled, the whole thing is re-measured to ensure it meets the specifications.
